OCTOBER:  Instead of a regular meeting, we will repeat last year’s successful scrum by going in costume to Gatsby’s (southwest corner of University Drive and I-595) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, 31 October 2009.  We had a private room and our own bartender, then the barmaids came in and mingled with us.  Feasted all evening.  It would be really nice if each of you would tell Bridget if you will be there; we need a head count.

NOVEMBER:  Just the regular meeting at 8 p.m. on Monday, 16 November 2009 at Starbucks on Broward Blvd.  Important that we all attend so we can each draw a secret elf name for gift-giving in December.  Cost of gift should not exceed $20.

DECEMBER:  At 3 p.m. on Saturday, 26 December 2009, we’ll start gathering at Ruth’s house to feast on pot-luck and exchange gifts and catch up on latest news from the Wizarding World and the Twilight zone, and watch something on Ruth’s new 46″ LED television set  Remember to pull your car straight in toward the house, and try to not knock over the spindly new tree on the front lawn.

The SEPTEMBER meeting was interesting.  All four of us sat inside Starbucks and studied the list of people who weren’t there.  Since you don’t communicate on any of the three (3) websites that are set up (Danny’s, Kat’s and Dale’s), what are we to assume?  Ruth, Dale, Roberta, and Katrenna had a rousing discussion of which books we were reading, and what our plans were for the opening of Universal’s Wizarding World in spring of 2010.  Nebulous.

Stell and Ruth have registered for the Infinitus 2010 convention in July at Orlando and will be happy to share our hotel room with whomever.  Since the convention will be held inside the Royal Pacific Hotel, it might work out best to browse the park either the day before or the day after the convention because the symposium is a jam-packed learning experience for true Harry Potter fans, very structured and professional but loads of fun.

Thanks also go out to Estelle and Bridgett for taking care of all the arrangements from the movies to the dinner that we had at Quarterdeck afterwards. Very good job and hopefully we will have more of these types of events to enjoy ourselves with.

Got home and saw all the cute people in their Togas and my one son had on my leopard sheet – they named him Barney Rubble…the house and patio were packed with bodies..lol..… I had a few more drinks – some with strange names…and nibbled more food…music was really loud,  so, I closed myself in my bedroom, put on PJ’s’ and watched a marathon of NCIS            …(forgive all my misspelling)
